Tsutsujigaoka Park

It is said that the origin of this park dates back to Date Tsunamura, the forth lord of Date, who had several thousand Shidare-zakura brought back from Kyoto to be planted in Sendai. Now some 400 cherry trees such as Someiyoshino, Yaezakura, and Higanzakura grow in this park. Various street stalls are also set up and you can also enjoy viewing cherry blossoms at night.
