Tohoku's greatest amusement center.
The area that is located near to Ichibancho Yonchome Shotengai Street is called Kokubuncho, and is known as the greatest amusement center in Tohoku. A store with a tradition of manufacturing and selling Sendai miso (beanpaste). Their recommendation is Tokugin miso (¥1470, 1 kg bag). You can buy various miso by weight.
Visitors can enjoy eating these delectably broiled oysters on the shell grown in Matsushima Bay (all-you-can-eat in 45 minutes for ¥2000; ¥3000 for 60 minutes). These oysters can be enjoyed only from October to March when oysters are in season.
Ishibashiya offers Sendai Dagashi. Usagidama (soft kneaded sweet) is priced at ¥263 for six. The products are also at Sendai Airport and some large-scale stores.
If you want to try Japanese treat, you can enjoy Sendai dagashi. It matches with Japanese green tea and have a relaxed time. A small sized set is ¥630.
They offer the many kinds of dagashi and it is popuar for souvenir, too. The color of itself is also enjoyable. 6 pieces set price is ¥525.
