Experience authentic glassblowing with a professional glass artist. First-timers are welcome!

Reception: Decide the shape and color of your glass while looking at samples.

At the Studio: Instruction about how to make the glass and how to use tools.

Experience: Under the guidance of an instructor, individual participants will melt glass to 1200℃, inflate it with air, and shape it with a special tool. The finished work is placed in a kiln and gradually cooled.

The product will arrive at an address in Japan in about 1 week. Otherwise, arrange for to pick it up at the studio at a later date.

Glass Studio Kirlo

Glass Studio Kirlo is a private studio operated by glass artists Eiji Shiga and Sayuri Matsuda. Visitors may participate in a glassblowing experience to create their own unique souvenirs and commemorative items. We hope the beautiful surrounding nature will inspire your creativity.

One person at a time creates an original glass or vase while being guided by the instructor. We are located a 30-minute drive from Sendai Station via the expressway, and 3 minutes from Murata IC. In Murata Town, you can experience deep nature and culture. Please enjoy it together with the glassblowing experience!

Cancellation Policy	If we must cancel due to bad weather, equipment malfunction, maintenance or natural disaster, we will contact you from the studio.
Important Notes for Participants	For elementary school students and older (for younger participants, please inquire).

Fee

Fee	Glassblowing experience (1 item): 3500 JPY (tax included)
Included in the fee	Experience fee, materials fee (clear glass), equipment rental, consumption tax.
Items not included in the fee	Shipping fee of completed glass.
Fee Remarks	Add color to your glass (1 color＋500 yen), Shipping fee is 700 yen (in Japan).
Payment Methods	Pay in cash or credit card on the day.
Cancellation and Changes	If you cancel by 1 day before the experience, no cancellation fee is charged. If cancel or no-show on the day, 100% of the experience fee will be charged.

Parking	There is. You may be able to use the studio parking lot, however, we also have permission to use the wide parking lot at the adjacent temple (Saian-ji).
