Naruko Onsen Moritabi Association

The Naruko Onsen Moritabi Association is a council of local inns, restaurants, forestry workers, craftsmen, and educators. We offer various nature programs inside the Kurikoma Quasi-National Park national nature reserve. For example, our “woodworking culture experience” helps participants gain a deeper appreciation of the rich natural environment necessary to create the traditional Naruko-style lacquerware and kokeshi dolls. We also offer environmental programs as opportunities to learn about forest recycling and energy circulation by using forest resources. Through unique experience programs that combine activities with stays in hot spring areas, we aim to create a new tourism system that benefits both visitors and residents.
