Try shaping and painting with a lathe! Choose either a pen stand, chopsticks holder or egg stand~♪

First decide what you want to make: a pen stand, chopsticks holder or egg stand. Once you decided what to make, start shaping it while using the spinning lathe. There is no need to worry as the professional craftsman will be assisting you the whole time. Grind away the wood, then polish, color, and apply a wax finishing all while using a lathe through one-on-one instruction.

You choose the color, where to paint the lines, and what pattern to make.

Wagatsuma Kokeshi Wooden Toy Shop

We are a Togatta Style Kokeshi Studio. Our business is now in its third generation. In addition to kokeshi dolls, we produce wooden toys using a lathe. At our experience workshop you can try painting kokeshi using a lathe.
