Event Information

Just a 7-minute walk from JR Kaminoyama Onsen Station, you can pick up 10 wine tickets, a wine glass, and a wine glass holder at the reception desk located at the venue entrance (in front of Shonai Bank).
Each day, the first 3,000 guests will receive a Yamagata Wine Bar 2025 logo wine glass and glass holder.
Enjoy tasting wines from over 50 wineries spread across five areas around Kaminoyama Castle. You can exchange your tickets for wines of your choice, with the number of tickets required per glass varying depending on the type of wine. Additional ticketscan be purchased on the day of the event if needed.
Food stalls will be available throughout the venue. Please note that most vendors accept cash only, so be sure to bring sufficient cash.
A yukata dressing service is available on the 2nd floor of JR Kaminoyama Onsen Station. If you bring your own yukata or buy one on-site, you can enjoy the festival in traditional Japanese attire.
For those wishing to use reserved seating, a separate reservation is required.

Kaminoyama City Tourism and Products Association

"Kaminoyama Onsen" is proud to have a history of more than 560 years. Centuries ago this hot spring resort was once a lively castle town around Kaminoyama Castle and a post town of the Ushu Kaido highway. The town still has an historical atmosphere. Also, Kaminoyama Onsen is one of Japan's leading wine-growing regions. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, such as the Zao mountain range, the area has the perfect conditions for producing quality wine: rich fertile soil, long daylight hours, and a large difference in temperature between day and night. Why not hike around the beautiful mountains during the day, walk the castle town until sunset, then finish with hot springs and wine at night?
