Choose your favorite kokeshi doll from various sizes and shapes, paint it and make your own original kokeshi♪ Finally, use the lathe to apply a wax finish!

Wagatsuma Kokeshi Workshop offers various sizes and shapes of mini kokeshi for painting. Choose your favorite kokeshi and paint it however you would like. There is no “correct way,” so please have fun using whichever colors and pattern you wish. Finally, together with Wagatsuma Sensei, apply the wax coating using the lathe to finish with a shiny souvenir!

Wagatsuma Kokeshi Wooden Toy Shop

We are a Togatta Style Kokeshi Studio. Our business is now in its third generation. In addition to kokeshi dolls, we produce wooden toys using a lathe. At our experience workshop you can try painting kokeshi using a lathe.
