In the "Cute and Quick Kaleidoscope Making Experience," just simply place your favorite beads into your favorite pattern tube to make your own original kaleidoscope! This is a quick and fun activity we recommend for everyone, especially children.

Choose your favorite tube from among the many cute illustrated patterns, then place your favorite stones inside to finish! In just 5 to 10 minutes you can make your own original kaleidoscope.

*You are able to do the experience without a reservation, but groups should contact us in advance. For groups of over 20, please contact at least 1 week in advance.

Sendai Kaleidoscopes Art Museum

The Sendai Kaleidoscopes Art Museum is a hands-on experience-style museum where you can see, touch, and even make your own kaleidoscope. We change the kaleidoscope displays in our exhibition rooms every season. You can also enjoy viewing the works of pioneer female potter Tsuji Teruko. On the 1st floor of the museum there is a museum shop and experience corner. On the 2nd and 3rd floors are exhibition rooms.

Access	--By Public Transportation-- Miyagi Kotsu Bus: Take the bus towards Akiu Onsen and get off at “Matsuba” bus stop. （About 50 minutes from Sendai Station）※Please note the high-speed express bus will not stop here. --By Car-- 15-min from Sendai-Minami IC /20-min from Sendai-Minami IC National Road (Route) 286 or 48, head towards Akiu Onsen. We are located along the main road through Akiu Town, close to the entrance of the hot spring town. The cream-colored building with the red roof is the Sendai Kaleidoscopes Art Museum.
