Stroll through the city and suburbs of Sendai, the castle town of Date, dressed in a kimono or Yukata!Sendai is a compact, walkable city. Whether it is the tree-lined boulevards, retro alleys, neighborhood parks or shopping arcades, your walk exploring downtown will be even more memorable with this Yukata ,kimono experience.

・Yukata is available only during the summer season (June to September), while kimono is offered during the rest of the year (September to June).
・By reservation only, so please email or call ahead to make an appointment.
・After arriving at the store, select your kimono with the shop keeper. Basically you don’t need to prepare or bring anything special.
・Kimono can be rented from when the store opens at 10:00 until 17:00.
・The rental price includes accessories like a small bag to carry your things and wooden geta sandals. (Full Set Plan)
・Simple hair styling is offered for an additional 500 yen. Make-up is not included.
・During the winter months, it is recommended to wear warm inner clothing or use hand warmers, etc.

Rental Kimono Ume Luv

We have a wide selection of over 100 kimono. You can rent a full set including kimono, obi, shoes and accessories. Since we are in a central location in Matsushima, all major sightseeing spots can be walked to in under 10 minutes.
