Experience stamping your name on lacquerware inside our "Tamamushi Lacquerware" showroom. You can bring home your original glass with your name on it the same day. Please enjoy your glass together with the sake and food of Miyagi and Tohoku.

The experience program we offer allows you to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of "Tamamushi-nuri" (Tamamushi Lacquerware). Tamamushi is a traditional craft designated by Miyagi Prefecture. You can experience the process of stamping your name on the lacquerware together with the artisan, which is usually performed only by our staff.

Experience Flow (when putting name on lacquerware)
1. Material, product description
2. Mix lacquer material (since it is synthetic lacquer, it is unlikely to become blurry) so that you can write your name on it.
3. Practice on a glass plate
4. Stamp the name on the product
5. Dry lacquer material
6. Sprinkle gold powder with silk cotton
7. Drying
8. Put completed project in cosmetics box
9. Finish

During the drying time for step 7, enjoy a complimentary coffee or kokonoe (a sweet, traditional drink) served in the showroom.

For beginners it is difficult to properly mix the material to make a clean finish. However, since a staff member will be working closely with you, you can have peace of mind. You can also keep the stamp with your name on it. We are able to lend aprons to keep your clothes clean.

TOHOKU KOGEI currently produces a wide range of items used in daily life, such as stationary and tableware. The company also makes gifts and souvenirs for tourists. Also, TOHOKU KOGEI items have been presented to the Japanese Imperial Family as a representative traditional craftwork of Sendai. The experience program we offer allows you to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of "Tamamushi-nuri" (Tamamushi Lacquerware), designated a traditional craft of Miyagi Prefecture. Cancellation Policy	The experience program may be canceled due to a natural disaster. We will inform you whether or not it will be held by the day before. If it is determined to cancel the experience due to such circumstances, the host company will contact you.
Important Notes for Participants	Those under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Fee	6600 JPY (tax included)
Included in the fee	Experience fee, materials fee, instruction fee, consumption tax.
Fee Remarks	Cancellation after stamp production will be charged 1650 yen regardless of the number of days before the actual experience.
Payment Methods	We will make a stamp with your name, so please pay at least 15 business days in advance by bank transfer or pay at the showroom.
Cancellation and Changes	・ 80% cancellation fee will be charged the day before, 100% cancellation fee will be charged on the day of the experience or if canceled without notice. ・ Cancellation after stamp production will be charged 1650 yen regardless of the number of days before the actual experience.
About Cancellation Fees	In case of cancellation or change of reservation, please contact us immediately. Requests for changes may not be met depending on the time and reservation situation.
Benefits	You can purchase products in the store at 10% off on the day of your visit.
