One of the few hairdressers in Japan will professionally style your own hair in a traditional Japanese hairstyle. Come and experience the unique experience of seeing the tools and process of tying your hair using traditional techniques from the Edo period.

It's said that there are hundreds of different styles of Japanese hairstyles, and the style you chose could reveal your age, status, and whether you were single or married.

Women of the Edo period, just like women today, enjoyed fashion, but how were Japanese hairstyles styled in an era before modern-day hairspray, wax, and elastics?

We'll recreate the ingenious techniques of the past in the Reiwa era!

From children to ladies, we'll create a Japanese hairstyle that suits each individual.

We'll ask you about your kimono, age, and marital status, and then recommend a Japanese hairstyle for you.
If you'd like to experience the atmosphere of the Edo period with your favorite kimono and Japanese hairstyle, please choose this option.

Of the hundreds of Japanese hairstyles, the classic "Bunkin Takashimada" hairstyle is considered the most elegant and dignified, with the roots tied high. For a more authentic bridal experience, choose this option.

Using traditional techniques handed down from Edo, one of the few hairdressers in Japan ties up the traditional Japanese hairstyle in earnest with natural hair. Although there are many types of traditional Japanese hairstyles, we select hair ornaments that match the age and atmosphere and tie the hair. Also, don't miss the old-fashioned and rare hair-tying tools that you don't have many opportunities to see nowadays. At the photo studio, you can also take a commemorative photo at an angle that makes Japanese hairstyle look beautiful.

When tying your own hair at the top of your head, as long as it is over 10cm long, it will be enough to style your own hair in a Japanese hairstyle. We can also handle light-colored hair that has been dyed. Why not try out the traditional Edo techniques with your own hair. You may discover a side of yourself you've never seen before♪

Important Notes for Participants	・Makeup is not included in the experience program. ・Please do not use any styling products on your hair on the day of the experience. ・When tying your hair up, Bintsuke oil will be on your entire hair. ・Before tying your hair, apply hair oil all over your hair. Please note that we do not have a shampoo stand, so please be aware that you will be left with hairdressing oil after the experience. (※Bintsuke oil can be removed with your regular shampoo) ・When you leave, it will be smoother if you bring a hair tie or barrette to tie your hair up. ・If you have super long hair that reaches down to your waist or above, you may be asked to have it cut beforehand.
