Fig Picking Experience in Sendai
Harvest different varieties of figs depending on the season. The figs look and taste different depending on the variety!

Reservations are recommended, but not required. We prioritize visitors with advanced reservations.
At the Sendai City Agriculture & Horticulture Center, visitors will be able to pick and take home mainly varieties that are delicious fresh for eating.
Before harvesting, staff members at Midori-no-Mori explain when the fruit is ready to pick and how to eat it. Visitors can enjoy the experience of “listening, looking, and harvesting.
You will pick a pack of figs to take home with you.
Every day except Mondays (or the following weekday if Monday is a national holiday).
1 pack all-you-can-pick: 800 yen (tax included)
・Black figs are not available for picking.
・The number of figs you can pick might be limited.
・Customers can pick their own figs and take them home in a special pack.
・This is not an all-you-can-eat event.

■How to make a reservation
Please make a reservation by phone or online. Reservations are given priority, but same-day reservations are accepted if space is available.
■Same-day registration
Reservations are accepted at the office on the 1st floor of the Administration and Training Building on both weekdays and weekends.
The office is located in front of the Midori-no-Mori Cafe on the 1st floor of the Administration Building.

The Sendai City Agriculture & Horticulture Center offers various fruit picking experiences for visitors throughout the year. Also, our large rose garden features rose varieties from around the world.

We have many varieties such as tomatoes, blueberries, grapes, pears, figs and apples, so please feel free to come and visit us anytime of the year.Please take precautions against the heat when going out.
