Let's make a diorama by using local oyster shells as strata!

Using oysters, a specialty of Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, you can add fossils and other items of your choice to make it look like the sea and dinosaurs once existed. All you have to do it simply arrange and attach the items, so even children can easily make it.

Miyagi Matsushima Rikyu

Miyagi Matsushima Rikyu

Matsushima Rikyu is a restoration of Japan's only wooden ten-sided triple tower originally constructed in 1913. This architectural masterpiece was created by international Czech designer Jan Letzel. The building offers a 360-degree view of the evening autumn leaves light-up and palace garden illumination. One of the concepts of Matsushima Rikyu in Miyagi Prefecture is being a place for “experiences and learning”. Together with the cooperation of the Miyagi Traditional Kokeshi Association, we are happy to offer guests an opportunity to learn the tradition of kokeshi dolls in Miyagi and experience kokeshi painting. We are also holding various workshops on a daily basis.
