Experience "basket net fishing" just like the local fishermen do every day!

Experience boarding a fishing boat and pulling up net baskets set off the coast. The net, which looks like a birdcage, may contain crabs, octopuses, and even sea creatures that live on the ocean floor!

~ Experience Flow ~
➀ Arrive at Tsukihama. Explanation about the experience (greeting with fishermen).
➁ Put on a life jacket and board the ship for departure!
➂ Pull up the baskets set at the fishing spots (it is light enough for elementary school children to raise).
④ Take out the contents. (* Repeat until the baskets run out)
⑤ Return to the beach and finish.

* You can take the caught fish home with you. Please prepare a cooler box, ice, etc.

Oku-matsushima Taiken Network

The Oku-matsushima Taiken Network is an organization formed mainly by local fishermen in the Miyato district. Fishermen will use fishing boats to lead various experience programs such as basket fishing, dragnet fishing and pole fishing. You can see the beach destroyed by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami is being gradually revitalized. Fishermen can share stories about their experiences after the disaster and the recovery situation.

Cancellation Policy	Please note that since this is an outdoor experience, it may be canceled depending on the weather. (2 days before a typhoon approaches, and the day before or the morning of the day in case of other stormy weather, the decision to cancel or not will be made)
Important Notes for Participants	If you are worried about seasickness, please prepare in advance with measures such as taking anti-motion sickness medicine. We will spend about 30 minutes on the boat, so please use the restroom before boarding.
